Lonely Street
White doves with mud on their wings
No bird song sings
Complicity in the silence stings
Peoples worn out slings
Blood red rose buds
Blown to bits with missile scuds
Brave slave
Child's despair
As bodies lay strewn
on streets that don’t care.

Soiled doves and scudded roses... I also thought the imagery vivid.
