Iliterate Poet

A dumping ground for my works in progress.

Uncomfortable silence

Uncomfortable silence
Waiting in the wings
Uncontrollably loud
when it rears its head in a crowd.
Elusive, always threatening to appear
We seek it here and we seek it there
But still we can’t grasp it.
No net to catch, No magnet to attract
So we meander on
With hope that it won’t settle down
from its freedoms flight
And make dull our inner shining light
Don’t make the mistake of being, fake,
would be a start
Use humour and speak from the heart
Do this and I assure you the silence becomes bliss
Even if they do boo and hiss
Remember this
You are your soul’s only accomplice.
